Fourth Week of Lent: Come Back to the Father

As we enter the Fourth Week of Lent, the Church invites us to pause and reflect on one powerful truth: God is always ready to welcome us back.

Lent is not only about sacrifice or giving things up. It is a journey of the heart. It is a time when God gently calls us to return to Him, no matter how far we may have wandered.

Many times in our lives, we drift away without even realizing it. We become busy, distracted, tired, or discouraged. Prayer becomes irregular. Our love for others becomes weaker. Our commitment to serving God becomes less intentional.

Yet God never stops waiting.

This week reminds us that God’s mercy is greater than our mistakes. No failure, weakness, or sin is too big for His love. Like a loving Father watching the road for His child to return home, God is always ready to receive us with open arms.

For those involved in youth ministry, this message is especially important. Young people today face many pressures and distractions. They need leaders who remind them that faith is not about perfection, but about continually returning to God.

The Fourth Week of Lent challenges us to ask ourselves:

  • Where in my life do I need to return to God?
  • What habits are pulling me away from Him?
  • How can I lead others back to Christ through my example?

Sometimes the journey back to God begins with very small steps:

  • A sincere prayer
  • A moment of silence with God
  • Forgiving someone
  • Choosing kindness
  • Attending Mass with a renewed heart

Every step toward God matters.

As we continue our Lenten journey, let this week be a moment of renewal. Allow God’s mercy to restore your strength, deepen your faith, and renew your mission to serve others.

Reflection for the Week:
God never grows tired of welcoming us back. The question is: Are we ready to return to Him?

Let this week be your step back into the loving embrace of the Father.
