Vita Christi Youth Ministry held a Core Team Training from March 27th to 30th, 2025, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Mararaba, in the Diocese of Lafia, Nasarawa State, bringing together 34 vibrant youth leaders, including executives of the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON) and other parish youth leaders. The training opened their eyes to practical and effective ways of guiding young people in faith, leadership, and service. It was a spirit-filled experience that strengthened their zeal to build active, Christ-centered youth ministry and promoting vibrant CYON apostolate within the parish.
The Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON) of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Passo, held a Youth Camp from July 29th to 31st, 2025, bringing together young people for a meaningful time of prayer, formation, and fellowship. Through inspiring sessions, interactive activities, and faith sharing, participants deepened their love for Christ and strengthened their commitment to living out their faith in their daily lives.
We are grateful for the opportunity to train youth leaders at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Cathedral, Abeokuta Diocese. From August 28th to 31st, 2025, participants were equipped with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual grounding to guide young people in faith, leadership, and service. Through this effort, we continue to build stronger parish youth ministries and a more vibrant Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON) across the Church.
From September 4th to 7th, 2025, our training at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Itele Ota, provided parish youth leaders with a transformative experience of growth and renewal. The sessions equipped them with practical tools and spiritual insight to guide young people with purpose, while strengthening the CYON apostolate and building dynamic, Christ-centered parish communities.
The Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON) at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Mararaba, organised an Independence Day celebration on October 1st, 2025. It was creatively designed in the Life Evening format. The event featured the Gather, Proclaim, Break, and Send movements, creating a joyful and spirit-filled experience that inspired participants to live out their faith more intentionally.
